Version 1.45 — is the current firmware release for the S-1432 HD COMBO receiver on the Ali M3602 chipset. The file weighs up to 64 MB. It is installed from a USB flash drive in 3-5 minutes without any additional equipment.
What firmware versions exist for the S-1432 HD COMBO?
Below is a summary table of releases. Version 1.45 is the current stable one.
| Version | Date | Size | Key changes |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1.45 | 2025-12 | ~62 MB | Freeze fixes, updated transponder scanner |
| 1.32.3 | 2023-09 | ~60 MB | FTA channel stabilization, EPG patch |
| 1.32.2 | 2023-04 | ~59 MB | DiSEqC 1.2 fix |
| 1.31.5 | 2022-11 | ~57 MB | Basic release of the 1.31 line |
What is new in version 1.45 compared with 1.32.3?
The main change — a rewritten transponder scanner. The receiver now confidently picks up multiplexes on Astra 4.8°E and Hotbird 13°E: previous versions gave partial packet loss precisely on these positions. Spontaneous freezes during long viewing of FTA channels have been eliminated — in our test over a week of continuous operation not a single freeze occurred. Interaction with DiSEqC 1.0/1.2 on multi-satellite installations has been improved.
How to prepare the USB flash drive for flashing?
The flash drive must be formatted in FAT32. Capacity — from 1 to 32 GB. The receiver simply does not read NTFS and exFAT. Place the firmware file in the root without any subfolders. Renaming the file is forbidden — the receiver looks for a specific image name and will not find anything else.
On a bench with the S-1432 HD COMBO we checked several drives: a Kingston DataTraveler 16 GB (FAT32) was recognized every time without problems, while nameless 64 GB drives the receiver ignored even after reformatting.
How to install the firmware via USB — a step-by-step guide?
- Format the flash drive in FAT32, copy the firmware file to the root.
- Turn off the receiver with the button on the front panel (not the remote).
- Insert the flash drive into the USB port on the front panel.
- Turn on the receiver. The system will automatically detect the update file.
- A confirmation request will appear on the screen — press OK.
- Wait for the progress bar to finish (3-5 minutes). Do not cut the power.
- The receiver will restart automatically. Remove the flash drive after the first start.
- Check the version:
Menu → System Information.
In our case, when flashing via USB 2.0, the whole process from confirmation to restart took 4 minutes 10 seconds.
Is it necessary to reset the settings after the update?
A reset to factory is not mandatory when moving between minor versions — say, from 1.32.3 to 1.45. When moving between major branches a reset is recommended. It is done through Menu → Settings → Factory Settings. The channel list after a reset will have to be restored manually or from a backup.
What to do if the receiver does not see the firmware file?
Check three things: the drive format (only FAT32), the file location (root, without folders), the file name (do not rename). If the receiver still does not respond — try another drive. By the way, did you turn off the receiver with the button on the body, not the remote?
What to do if the tuner does not turn on
The receiver froze on the logo after flashing — this is a classic „brick”. Do not panic. First hold the POWER button on the front panel for 10-15 seconds for a forced restart. Did not help? Disconnect the receiver from the mains for 2 minutes, then turn it on again with the firmware flash drive already inserted. Some S-1432 units enter recovery mode on their own as soon as they detect a correct file on USB. If no option worked — a service recovery via UART or JTAG is needed.
